Case study interview kit

Generate the interview questions and then turn the transcript into a case study with real numbers and quotes.

When to use it

Customer stories die in the interview stage — wrong questions, then a transcript nobody turns into a page. This handles both halves.

The prompt

Part 1 — I'm interviewing a customer for a case study. We sold them [WHAT] and the headline result was [RESULT IF KNOWN]. Write 12 interview questions that surface: the before-state pain in concrete terms, why they chose us over alternatives, the implementation experience, and results with numbers. Order them so the specific, number-hunting questions come after rapport is built. Include 3 follow-up probes for when answers are vague.

Part 2 (after the call) — Here is the transcript: [PASTE]. Write a case study: headline with the strongest metric, 100-word summary, then Challenge / Solution / Results sections. Use direct quotes for anything opinionated, paraphrase facts. Flag every claim that needs the customer's sign-off. 600–800 words.

How to use it

  1. 1Run Part 1 before the call and pick your 8 favourite questions.
  2. 2Record the call (with consent) and get the transcript.
  3. 3Run Part 2 with the transcript pasted in.
  4. 4Send the flagged-claims list to the customer for approval before publishing.

Tips

  • The vague-answer probes are the difference between 'saved time' and 'saved 11 hours a week'.
  • Ask for permission to use numbers during the call, not after.
  • Publish a short version to LinkedIn the same week — same quotes, 150 words.
