Pre-call company summary

A smart property prompt that writes a one-sentence summary of what each company does, so reps open every call with context.

When to use it

You want reps to stop tabbing out to research accounts before calls. This is the lowest-risk smart property to start with — a slightly imperfect summary still saves time.

The prompt

Summarise what this company does in one sentence of at most 25 words. Focus on what they sell and who they sell it to. Write in plain language a sales rep can skim in two seconds. If the website does not make it clear what the company does, answer exactly: Unknown.

How to use it

  1. 1In HubSpot, create a company property (single-line text) and tick the Data Agent prompt option.
  2. 2Paste the prompt and choose Company website as the data source.
  3. 3Preview against 5–10 companies of varying quality before saving.
  4. 4Set it to fill on record creation so new accounts arrive summarised.

Tips

  • Keep it to one question — a summary property should not also classify or score.
  • The word cap keeps answers scannable in list views.
  • The explicit Unknown fallback stops the AI from guessing when the domain is wrong or empty.
