Deal review preparation

Summarise any deal from CRM notes and emails into a review-ready brief with MEDDPICC gaps and next steps.

When to use it

Pipeline reviews run on rep memory and optimism. Paste the deal's activity history and get a structured brief that surfaces what's actually known versus assumed.

The prompt

You are preparing a deal review brief. I will paste the activity history (notes, emails, call summaries) for one deal. Produce: 1) A 3-sentence deal summary: what they're buying, why now, and current state. 2) MEDDPICC assessment — for each letter, what we know (with the evidence from the history) or mark it GAP. 3) Risk flags: single-threaded contact, gone quiet, stated objections, timeline slippage. 4) The three highest-leverage next actions, each tied to closing a specific gap. Be blunt about gaps — 'champion assumed but never confirmed' is more useful than optimism. Do not invent details that are not in the history.

How to use it

  1. 1Open the deal in HubSpot and copy the recent activity timeline (last 60–90 days).
  2. 2Paste the prompt, then the history.
  3. 3Bring the MEDDPICC gaps to the review instead of the forecast category.
  4. 4Log the three next actions as tasks on the deal.

Tips

  • Works best on deals with real logged activity — it can't assess what reps never logged.
  • Run it on your three biggest deals before every forecast call.
  • Swap MEDDPICC for SPICED or BANT by editing one line.
